Marcelo El Chino Gutiérrez

Marcelo Gutiérrez is an accomplished professional dancer and artist dedicated to promoting Argentine tango and folklore dances around the world. He is highly regarded in the professional tango world for his distinctive teaching and performance style. Gutiérrez was the runner-up in the 1st Metropolitan Championship of Tango Salon ("Tango de Salon con Estilo y Elegancia") in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2002. He was also a finalist in the World Tango Championship in Buenos Aires in 2017. His name and teaching philosophy have been featured in numerous publications, and he is wellknown in professional dance circles as a teacher of Argentine tango and a pioneer in teaching women to lead in this dance form. He has traveled extensively throughout Europe, North America, and Asia, sharing his expertise with students and professionals of Argentine dance, art, and culture. In 2022, Gutiérrez was selected as a judge for the qualification rounds of the Tango World Championship in Uruguay.
